We have the need for an experienced electrical engineer to join our Brisbane team. The suitable candidate will be a degree qualified engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience within Australia and be keen to work within a creative, open, multi-cultural environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
OVERVIEW
You will support project directors and team leads by managing the design and documentation of electrical building services.
Duties include liaising with clients, consultants and engineering colleagues to design and deliver documentation for projects, including monitoring project progress, client communications, deliverables and resourcing, attending site and design meetings, and building and maintaining good relationships with design team members and suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and deliver design and documentation for various electrical building services projects, meeting varied requirements per project
Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
Evaluate final design’s overall performance, reliability and safety.
Attend and manage regular project/client/site meetings as required.
Provide representation across disciplines during interactions with the design team.
Create, allocate and closely monitor deliverables for yourself and others, ensuring deadlines are met and -quality is maintained in documentation.
Maintain regular lines of communication with the wider project team, ensuring all correspondence and documentation is attended to and filed promptly and accurately.
Build and maintain client relationships, including assisting with new business opportunities.
Liaise with authorities and suppliers.
Multi-disciplinary collaboration with other building services professionals.
Mentor junior staff.
Interpret relevant Australian standards and Building Code of Australia, ensuring your knowledge of these is comprehensively maintained.
Prepare reports and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in design and documentation within various sectors of the construction industry.
High level proficiency using relevant software including:
Microsoft Office suite.
Bluebeam.
PowerCAD
AGI
Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and relevant standards.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders.
Excellent time management, leadership and teamwork skills.
Creativity and analytical skills.
Strong client focus and the ability to work within or lead a project team.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills (both internal and external).
