ROBERT HOLOVKA

Robert established WRAP Engineering in early 2016, bringing with him over 23 years of valuable experience in a variety of building sectors including commercial, retail, educational, health, defence and residential.

Through diligence and dedication, Robert has gained a thorough understanding of all aspects of engineering and construction processes. Robert’s key strengths are his attention to detail and his ability to liaise with clients and fellow team members to successfully deliver the best outcome for each project.

Robert’s work has been fundamental in the successful delivery of many projects throughout Australia. Robert’s role on these projects was primarily lead Project Engineer whilst also internally managing the team of engineers and designers on the project.

Robert’s committed client focus and people skills have allowed him to enhance the company’s profile and capability, whilst consistently providing a holistic design approach.

STEVEN BEER

Steven has developed a highly proactive style over the past 15 years to execute projects across a broad spectrum of projects in the commercial, retail and community sectors.

He has significant experience across multiple disciplines and formulates intelligent engineering designs that integrate with the building form and key processes, allowing clients to ultimately deliver integrated, sophisticated and high-quality outcomes.

Steven’s competence and people skills have generated excellent commercial outcomes on past projects. His work comes with the assurance that all engineering inputs are tailored to meet project goals.

He has acquired a thorough understanding of building planning processes and how they relate to the ongoing drive for sustainable buildings in modern construction. Steven is also deeply conversant with the design challenges of designing services to suit the building processes that address whole-of-life issues.

JAMES VERCOULEN

James joined WRAP Engineering as a Director in 2019, heading up the fire protection and hydraulic team in our growing consultancy.

With a career spanning over 12 years, James’s industry experience to date is broadly diverse, varying from private and public residential, prominent retail and industrial projects, through to community projects in education, health, aged care, defence and the arts.

His approach to each project is lateral-minded, encouraging open communication and innovation from the project team in order to deliver an efficient and individually tailored outcome every time.

James has the rare ability to blend his highly developed technical thinking and his extensive industry knowledge with an air of approachability that allows him to develop strong and long-lasting relationships with clients, authorities, consultants and colleagues alike.

His logical approach to problem solving and his interest in comprehensively understanding each project result in successful, cost-effective solutions.

KAVITA GUSAIN

Kavita joined WRAP Engineering as an ESD Associate Director in 2024 and was promoted to Director/ESD Lead in October 2025. She brings over 20 years of extensive experience in various sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, hospitality, aviation and sports/recreation. She has worked on projects in Australia, India, United States and UAE. She is highly accomplished across various ESD frameworks including Green Star, LEED, NatHERS, Climate Adaptation and Section J.

Kavita effectively implements and delivers sustainable design solutions whilst guiding and supporting the wider team in the project’s sustainability endeavours. She fosters excellent working relationships with clients, prompting them to continually return to her for ongoing project advice.

Along with her strong skill set, and her passionate interest in sustainability and leadership, she enjoys working with clients and collaborators from all backgrounds, and being involved in the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to completion.
